The Labor Movement
I rember reading about the labour movement it was very sad because when the class read about Carnegie's Homestead Steel works in Homestead,Pennsylvania the workers put in 12 hour work days,7 workdays, and all they got payed was 10$ a week
.but the said of all was in New york,New york the reason it so sad because when you work in sweatshop and
your finger gets caught in the needle all you would probally do is bind your up with a peice of cotton and go back to work. Then 1 afternoon at a sweatshop owened by triangle shirtwaist company in New york,New york where there asked for safer fire escapes and keep the workshop doors unlock there was...a fire on Saturday afternoon in march 1911.the fire killed more than 150 people .

Wow, you have a great memory of what you learned in social studies! That was a sad time when children and adults had to work long hours in bad conditions.
